Reading is my number one favorite self-care idea. Reading a book helps to nourish your mind and can also lighten your mood which is great for your mental health.
When It comes to reading a book for self-care, you want to get a book that inspires you, a book filled with positive words that speak to you.
Those inspirational words from the book can shift your minds focus into a more positive state. Take ten to twenty minutes a day and read something inspiring.
The book Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins is a great book that teaches you how to take control of your wellbeing.
2. Soak in the Tub
Long baths are great for unwinding after a long day.
Having a nice soothing and refreshing bath using your favorite bath bomb and lavender essential oils will help you to relax and give you a calm and soothing feeling.
The use of essential oils like lemon, peppermint, orange with some scented candles for home and music can create a calm environment and help you relax.
If you struggle to have some time away from the kids, you can use these time management tips or ask your partner for help.
You could also have a long bath when the kids are asleep.
Nothing screams “Me Time” more than when having a long bath with some scented candles, potpourri, reading a good book, or listening to your favorite audiobook.
If you can’t go to the spa, why not bring the spa at home?

There are adult coloring books that are great to do in your downtime to get your creativity flowing. You can also include your kids in these activities, or you can do some coloring when you need a “me time.”

Trying out new recipes and indulging yourself in the process will make you let go of those stressful thinking.

With the rapid rise in smartphones and social media, it is easy to be distracted by our mobile phones.

Use the time you spend on your mobile phone to do something else you enjoy. Unplug from your mobile phone and use that “phone time” to relax and practice other self-care activities.
9. Get Enough Sleep
Getting enough sleep is vital for your health, and it will make you feel refreshed and recharged.
Having good enough sleep will also boost your energy levels and make you feel much better.
One other way you can get more sleep during the day is by having power naps. When you have difficulty completing a task, and you have been working on those tasks for several hours, try taking some power nap.
